Why should you use soap nuts?

Do you really know the contents of the cleaning materials you buy off the shelf?
You trust a brand, and rightly so. But you must also know that in the last fifty years tens of thousands of synthetic chemicals have been invented. Many of these have been created from petroleum and coal tar for the purposes of chemical warfare. The manufacture of synthetic detergents leaves a huge carbon footprint.

What's so sad is that hardly any of these substances have been tested for safety. Instead, they have been added to our food, water and everyday products like non-natural cleaning products without our consent. And they've been added without informing us of any dangers. There is a lot of intentional suppression in this industry that adds
approximately 1,000 new chemicals each year.

So you really don’t know what each pack of cleaning materials contains – because the real answer is that they do not tell you everything.
They don’t need to – since there is no law as yet to make them do so. Also they can always hide behind the “business secret” clause.

So, they can’t be all bad – after all, these are large corporations and have ethics.
We are not entering into that argument, all we are saying is that natural is any day safer – especially in the cleaning area. You do want your children and home to be safe and not be exposed to chemicals that cause allergy and after-effects, right? Reducing your exposure to these household chemicals is advisable. Also washing your clothes doesn’t need to be bad for the environment. Most of the chemicals in our cleaning products are bad for the environment and for us! See For more details see

Come on, I need clean clothes, and I don’t think there is a natural detergent!
Ha, think again.
A customer of Daily Dump introduced this idea to our team. And our first response was –
“You got to be kidding – how is it that this is not a wide spread practice – and how can we help homes adopt this?”
So our new product – which is not really a new product but an age old product delivered in a format for contemporary use is called “108 soapy nuts”. And it really cleans clothes well!
Please salute the great Indian SoapNut!
