A small team who enjoys composting and getting the job done

An enthusiastic demo veteran. Has been with Daily Dump for over a year and has grown to appreciate the basic reason for the company. He loves painting the products and has a patient, deliberate attitude.

A very small built man who loves getting on the bus to service someone in a far off corner of Bangalore. He can recognize done compost by just looking at it. He is the backbone of the service system.

Sumathi has the energy of a bee. Loves helping out when Daily Dump has a mass of customers. Then gets back to keeping Poonam's home clean and in working order. Makes sure the team is entertained with her quips every now and then.

Our administration and retail outlet head. She makes sure customers leave with a complete understanding of the kambha, provided they are here before 5.30pm!

Is the compost chutki who is now married and gone away to Germany. She was part of the initial core team. It is her lovely illustrations that dot the landscape of the Daily Dump communication material. Even when far away she counts as our team because she is so much part of our support system. In fact she presented Daily Dump at a design conference in Helsinki in 2008 June.

A reluctant accountant she is trying her hand at Daily Dump projects that involve working with children. Her frequent travelling is a standing joke at office and she still tries to cover up. She feels she found many inspirations at Daily Dump and it has opened her view to a whole lot of new ideas and people. Once she is serious about it, she would like to take care of a farm, document grandma recipes for good health, persuade villagers from migrating to cities, write a story and finish her to-do list.

A homemaker who chips in to help with sales and customer interaction when the others in the team are unavailable. Her presence lends a “homely” touch to composting which is reassuring to customers.

Trupti Godbole brings a holistic rigor to the Daily Dump endeavor to create great material for our children, so that they may infuse new life into the everyday act of living on our planet. She is a psychology graduate and also a trained pre school facilitator. Having worked with children for the past three years she loves their openness, curiosity and natural inclination to learn new things. She loves to watch children play and also to talk to them and to listen to their wonderful thoughts and imagination. She is passionate about environmental issues like effective waste management, composting, saying no to plastics, etc and wants to take these concepts to children, in a way that connects to them. She is a total fitness freak and has been practicing yoga regularly for the past four years and enjoying the benefits of it too. She promises to get the whole team to also become fit!!!

Savita has joined the Daily Dump team as the customer relationship co-ordinator. Her experience with medical transcriptions and the fact that she is also a customer of Daily Dump make her capable of fielding all kinds of customer queries. She is a diligent task buster. Savita works with Daily Dump on a flexi time format.

Delara enjoys working with ideas and is committed to getting her hands dirty with issues around the urban landscape. Full of empathy and always ready for a cup of tea. Her habit of keeping things in order drives everyone to make jokes about it. Delara works with Daily Dump on a flexi time format.

Another compost chutki who is still a hovering support for Daily Dump. Sashwati can be counted on to pitch in when we really need help at the project. Her ability to see things from a different point of view is valuable when we are trying to evolve strategies and are deeply brainstorming.

A textile designer who has experience in participatory methods, Swettha has begun a project on urban waste that is not compostable. She brings her experience with the local culture and her people skills to bear on this issue and hopes to have some fresh solutions along with Delara who is on the same team. Swettha works with Daily Dump on a flexi time format.

Vinita is Daily Dump's epitome of modest expert. Her hands on experimentation with different green ways of living have made her more knowledgeable than the "so called experts". She is leading the team on finding simple, effective and less harmful ways of doing our daily acts! Her daughter Maya makes sure that we all don't take ourselves too seriously!

Trained as an industrial designer Poonam enjoys the mundane. Her experience with teaching and working in both industrial and craft sectors inform her work on her consultancy and design projects. Daily Dump is an endeavor where she is experimenting with how design can play out in ways that perhaps were not really explored before. Often asked if this will make any impact, she says if Amitabh Bachan and Rajni Kant endorse composting, it will. So she is looking for someone who will convince these people to do it.
