You can use any home tools to stir. Daily Dump also sells a range of tools.

Wear gloves if you want to stir the pile with your hand.
Stir the pipes of all Gamlas at least once in 3-5 days. Stirring the pile is critical for composting. It allows air to reach areas which need oxygen. Without oxygen the pile generates a foul odour and takes longer to decompose. Stirring combines dry portions with extra wet ones to
create a homogenous mixture, this hastens composting.

Daily Dump spray bottle
with lemon grass solution.
You can also buy refill
solution.
In case of odour or fruit flies – spray the area with Daily Dump lemon grass solution – it is an organic insect repellent. It also has a lemony fragrance.

Wet the waste by
pouring water in
and then mix evenly
into the pile.
The pile should have the correct amount of moisture. Add dried leaves and mix in if there is too much moisture in the pile. Add water and mix well if the pile is too dry.

Add a teaspoon once a week and mix into the pile with water. The accelerator is a culture of micro-organisms in powder form. Adding accelerator hastens decomposition.
You can use any other accelerator - cowdung is very good too.

Daily Dump supplies different kinds of accelerators.
