Citrus fruits need to be cut into quarters
Must add compost accelerator. Also add baking soda.
Mango
and tamarind seeds take long
Will take 3 cycles to fully decompose and added to new pile
Fishbones,
chicken & meat need to be buried deep into the pile
Do not overload the pile with bones
Corn cob, sugar cane, watermelon, stalks of cauliflower and flowers all
need to be cut into smaller bits
Tea
bags can be dumped in after use
Shred newspaper, old envelopes, paper tissue and cloth
Cooked
food and rotten vegetables
Coffee
powder, coffee decoction, tea leaves, tea bags, tamraind pulp
Egg shells need to be crushed
If for any reason, you are unable to cut the waste into smaller bits - don’t worry. Composting will take longer, with no adverse effect on quality.
