If you've never tried composting earlier, starting with leaves might be the easiest way to begin! It is completely easy, fuss-free, smell-free and requires almost no maintenance! A large landscape with many types of trees will need many of these to ensure that no garden clippings and leaves leave the site. Yes you can add branches and palms, make sure you cut them down to size. In 2009 Daily Dump began research to see if technology could help the informal sector. This publication is the result of 2 years of action research.

Daily Dump coined the term Recycle Guru to show how the local waste picker and dealer are actually experts and must be acknowledged as such. The report highlights the challenges of resource recovery of dry waste in urban Indian centres. In a simple to understand style it explains the involvement of different stakeholders and the possible future solutions to manage waste and provide dignity to the informal waste sector.

Daily Dump is still exploring the most valid leverage point to bring change to the way dry waste streams can be managed. It continues to work in this area.
