We attended the 2nd national conference cum exhibition of ADaRSH, Association for Development and Research of Sustainable Habitats (setup jointly by TERI and Ministry for New and Renewable Energy). The conference was a platform for organisations to share their efforts towards Green Building activities in India as recognised by GRIHA (Green Rating for Integrated Habitat Assessment), the National Rating Programme for evaluating green building design.
We took this opportunity to present our latest community composting solution, the Manthan; besides the traditional terracotta designs.
We received enthusiastic enquiries from CEOs of companies, architects, landscape designers, agencies involved in building certification and consultants for energy efficient constructions. We hope this signals a new phase where construction planning will include from the very beginning, planning for an onsite waste management facility.
