• Spread a tarpaulin sheet or old newspaper on the ground to hold sieved compost
• Pass your mature compost through the sieve
• Put all un-sieved large bits back into fresh waste to compost fully.
• Store sieved compost in an airy container and keep moist.
• For best results, use after a month of sieving.

Beej Ball is a thoughtfully curated collection of seed balls for your home and surroundings. Ideal to bring back biodiversity, butterflies and bees to your garden. Use as fertiliser: Spread 1 inch layer of compost on soil around plants, twice a month. You can also mix into the potting mix with soil and cocopeat in equal proportions.  

Use as soil amendment: Work 1–2 inches of compost into the top 3–5 inches of soil. This will improve soil structure, water holding capacity.
